At TAIG Tools we manufacture precision desktop Milling Machines, Lathes (otherwise known as Micro Mills and Micro Lathes) and a complete line of accessories to tackle any type of task.
Whether you are working with steel, aluminum, brass, wood, or plastic, our equipment can handle any of these materials. Our machines are small in size but not in construction! We provide large oversize spindle ball bearings and use heat treated alloy steels for various stressed components.
Being an aerospace manufacturer for over 18 years our machinists know the importance of cross slide backlash compensation and full gib adjustments for wear as employed in the manufacture of the Micro Mills and Micro Lathes. Our lathes and milling machines are built by a machinist and can be used by a machinist, hobbyist, or anyone just starting out.
How Do We Do It?
Customers ask us all the time how we can make such quality and precise products at such affordable prices. We tell them that over the 40 years that we have been making these products our philosophy has been to make large quantities of parts at a time thereby reducing the setup costs to produce these parts.
Our special tooling fixtures have allowed us to accomplish this method, thereby reducing the costs to manufacture our various components. By using specialized older machines and state of the art new machines we are able to pass these savings on to the customer with prices that are lower than our competitors without sacrificing machine performance and accuracy.


Who Are They For?
Micro Mills and Lathes have found a variety of uses. Many colleges and universities use the Lathes and Milling machines in engineering and design courses for classroom learning. Some of our equipment has found a home with the hobbyist and novice machinist, while others are performing tasks on industrial production lines as a special purpose machining center.
